Two music performances for Between Trenches’ closing night.

Exploring spaces through sounds, but more potently the spaces between sounds, Simran combines the sitar with words and uses silence as an instrument of its own. Beats and accompanying humming is always welcome in her performances - a shared experience is much better than a curated one

Etherbaby is a mix of many influences: jazz, synthpop, alt-R&B, bedroom pop, psychedelia and electronic music among others. Her latest project is marked by her deeply emotional, expansive voice, underpinned by warm, nostalgic synth heavy production. She has been compared to Florence Welch in terms of vocal delivery, and to the likes of Blood Orange and Lorde in terms of production style.
