Open Studios at KOPPEL Kingston takes place at 29 Thames Street, just moments from the riverside and the historic centre of Kingston upon Thames. Set along the banks of the River Thames and a short walk from the town’s marketplace and bridges, the studios sit in the middle of a neighbourhood known for its cafés, restaurants and relaxed weekend rhythm.
Our Kingston studios bring together a community of over 30 artists working across a wide range of practices, opening their doors to share works in progress, finished pieces and the spaces where ideas slowly take shape.
Throughout the day, visitors are welcome to move through the studios, meet the artists and discover artwork available to purchase directly. In the building’s foyer, an artist run pop up will also take place during the weekend, extending until Sunday 19 April. Here you will find smaller works, prints, cards and artist made items, an easy way to take something home while supporting the local creative community.
A visit to KOPPEL Kingston also pairs naturally with the neighbourhood itself. After exploring the studios, many visitors continue along the riverside walk, stop for coffee nearby or settle into one of the many restaurants that line the town centre. It is an easy and local day out by the water, shaped by the artists inside the building and the slower atmosphere that Kingston is known for.
