Spring Open Studios at KOPPEL Collective

Open Studios at KOPPEL Collective takes place on Saturday 18 April, 11AM to 5.30PM, at our studios in Chalk Farm (NW1 8BB). Tucked between Camden and Primrose Hill, and only a short walk from Hampstead Heath, the building sits within one of North London’s most familiar cultural routes. It is the kind of area where a studio visit can easily become an afternoon spent moving between artists’ spaces, cafés and the nearby parks.

Since 2023, KOPPEL Collective has grown into an active studio community, bringing together artists working across painting, sculpture, moving image and installation. During Open Studios, visitors are invited inside the studios to meet the artists, see work in progress and encounter the quieter processes that usually remain behind closed doors. The scale of the building makes the experience intimate, allowing time for conversations that rarely happen in more formal exhibition settings.

The event is also an invitation to slow down and spend time in the neighbourhood. After visiting the studios, many visitors continue towards Primrose Hill for the view across the city, wander through Camden Market, or stop at one of the many independent cafés scattered between Chalk Farm and Hampstead Heath. It is a day shaped as much by the studios as by the rhythm of North London around them.
