The ‘Elegant Warriors of Justice’ is a feminist, climate justice project that explores the intersection between gender, ecological sustainability, the urban landscape and mental health. Created as a collaboration between Pakistani artist Zoya Alina Currimbhoy and Australian artist Elyssa Sykes-Smith, the project takes the form of a series of large-scale multimedia installations designed in response to the holding cells at The Koppel Project Station. The exhibition is accompanied by a public program of events, talks and workshops which are free to the public.

Workshop Description: Unleash your creativity and delve into the exciting world of spatial design with our immersive workshop! Building upon the success of our previous drawing workshop, this workshop will explore the intriguing process of transitioning from a two-dimensional image to a three-dimensional masterpiece. Building from the outcome of our previous drawing workshop, we will take the collaborative artwork created and embark on a deeper exploration of its potential. Together, we will dive into a vibrant discussion around the role of public art and its impact on the community. Elyssa and Zoya, who have first-hand experience in the realm of public art, will share their insights and experiences, offering invaluable guidance on how to create impactful and meaningful installations.

Through a combination of practical exercises, group discussions, and hands-on exploration, you will gain the tools and knowledge necessary to bring your artistic vision to life in the realm of spatial design. Discover how to manipulate space, engage the senses, and evoke emotions through the thoughtful placement and arrangement of elements in your installations.

This workshop is designed for artists, designers, and enthusiasts alike, providing a space for creative minds to come together, collaborate, and unlock new possibilities in the realm of spatial design. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just beginning your artistic journey, this workshop will inspire you to push boundaries, challenge perceptions, and create extraordinary spatial experiences.
