Astrid Chung will be in residence at The Koppel Project Station for the entire month of September. Visitors are welcome to join Astrid starting from Thursday, 7th September onwards, between the hours of 12pm and 6pm on Mondays (excluding the 11th), Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. During these hours, Astrid will be available to engage in thoughtful discussions about their visitors' personal connections to art, creativity, freedom, survival, family, histories, etc., whilst hand-building ceramics shaped by your thoughts, feelings, and conversation with the artist!

Visitors are encouraged to bring five objects (any objects are fine - pictures, sentimental knick-knacks, lighters, flowers, receipts - anything!) with you to visit that you’d be happy to temporarily leave behind as part of your own handmade personal shrine that will occupy the studio space alongside other personal shrines for the month.

Those interested are welcome to show up without prior notice or reach out to residencies@thekoppelproject.com in advance. Feel free to extend this invitation to friends, family, and especially individuals who may not typically engage in artistic expression. Your support and participation are highly valued! Together with Astrid we look forward to welcoming all visitors soon!

Astrid Chung is one of the artists participating in the OPEN CELLS residency programme
