School SOS is an alternative and free development programme in critical spatial practices, providing space for Higher Education after-care.
This year, SOS-25 has emphasised relationships, bridge-building, community conversations, organising, collective intelligence building, and consciousness raising. It buildsĀ on an evolving conversation brought by creative practitioners around centering lived experience and engaging with community over the imbalance, or abuse of power in everyday spaces.
Our practitioners' exhibition, 'mapping elsewhere', is a snapshot of creative work that participants have developed in response to a harm done to communities that includes work in caring for the more-than-human, wrongfully incarcerated inmates on death-row, forcefully evicted communities on MoD land, groups with lived experience of trafficking, among many others.
