In the holding cells of Hampstead Police Station, the Make Your Own Masters (MYOM) collective of multidisciplinary creatives will be opening up their space for a work-in-progress show.
MYOM is a free, independent, creative learning programme, formed due to the lack of access to Postgraduate Arts Education in the UK, by founder Stacie Woolsey. MYOM provides the collective with a framework, methodology and community to learn within, empowering those unable to access education, to “Make Your Own”.
Thanks to The Koppel Project the MYOM 2023 cohort has found a home for their creative practices in the cells of the Old Police Station in Hampstead where they will host their show, ‘Open Cells’. From engineering to printmaking, fashion to literature, this exhibition offers a glimpse into the current cohort’s work so far. As they look towards preparing and fundraising for their final show in Summer 2024, join the MYOM collective on their journey to create a radical alternative to traditional arts education.
