Antonia Luxem: Dream Incubation Chamber, Volume 2 – performance with Tom Foskett-Barnes & Aaron Hannah Shakespeare

The Dream Incubation Chamber is a performance–dream laboratory inspired by ancient incubation rituals, where falling, heartbreak and psychic pain become material for transformation.

Volume 2: The Bridge to Chimeras with Tom Foskett-Barnes and Aaron Hannah Shakespeare follows a shapeshifting figure through collapse and metamorphosis.

Tom Foskett-Barnes is a composer and musical director based in London and Berlin.

Aaron Hannah Shakespeare is an actor, model and dancer. They are currently re-engaging with live and on-screen performance, alongside retraining in ballet and contemporary dance.

This performance is conceived as an integral component of On Falling, emerging from the exhibition’s dream incubation chamber as a live activation of its recursive structures. Embedded within the installation’s looping temporal logic, the performance extends Antonia Luxem’s exploration of falling, dreaming and altered states into a durational, embodied encounter. Moving between collapse and renewal, it operates as a moment of intensified attention within the dreaming–falling cycle, where psychic and emotional material surfaces in real time and the boundaries between waking consciousness, dream state and performance dissolve.
