Turn any room into a massive, large size camera using only tape and darkening foil.
Observe the image from outside inside the room using simple optic rule of camera obscura- darkened room with a little hole.
Session:
• Short theoretical & presentation
• Creating the cameras - introduction to idea of light sensitivity
• Observing the image inside the cameras
Equipment used:
• Cardboard
• Scissors
• Black insulation tape
• Needles
• Aluminium foil
• Light sensitive paper
Magda Kuca (1993, born in Skarzysko-Kamienna, PL.) is a Polish photographer based in London, exploring cyclical nature of human rituals by utilizing historical photographic techniques such as wet plate collodion, using contexts of identity, memory, and folklore.
As an educator, leading alternative and historical photographic techniques workshops (cyanotype, wet plate collodion, electrophotography, anthotype, mordancage and others) in UK and PL. Collaborated with various institutions and galleries, such as British Museum, University of Arts London, WeTransfer, Royal Botanic Gardens-Kew and more.
Holds MA in Photography from University of Arts London (2018) and BA in Photography from University of Arts in Poznan, Poland (2015).
