THE KOPPEL PROJECT HIVE
26 Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2AQ
The Koppel Project Hive supports 100 artists’ studios in the heart of the City of London. Each studio unit is 15m2 and includes utilities, security, and furniture. Artists share large communal studios, and also have use of an attached project space and a shared communal area.
The building is open from 9am–8pm Monday to Friday, 10am–6pm Saturday, and 10am–4pm Sunday. There is a full-time security guard at the front desk during these times. The studios have very large windows that provide good natural light, but limited ventilation. For this reason, any artistic practices using toxic products are strictly forbidden.

The Hive’s open studios is an open invitation to discover the working environment of a diverse selection of emerging and established London-based artists. Twice a year, The Hive’s artists display their works in progress and discuss them with curators, collectors, and the public.
The main aim of the open studios is to showcase the vibrancy of The Hive community artists. Working in a large communal space, this event allows artists to illustrate their individual practices and vision seeing how they fit into the collective force of the community. Over these days, a group exhibition takes place across the five-floors studios, accompanied by artist-led talks and workshops open to all art lovers and art-curious.
