Live Act

Tuesday 8th August 2017 from 1-2pm

Leather Lane Street Market, London

On this occasion, Senior Lecturer and Coordinator at the British Academy of Jewellery, Lili Capelle, will offer a public performance to raise money for Leukaemia and child abuse. All the funds will be raised for philanthropic causes and devolved to the charity Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.

Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children’s cancer charity and the UK and Ireland’s professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer. Over the last 40 years, CCLG has played a key role in the major improvements in survival rates and the standards of care for children so that over 80% of children are now cured. We are the central hub for childhood cancer through the specialist expertise of our members.

The British Academy of Jewellery is the only provider of Apprenticeship qualifications specialising in jewellery in the UK.

“Founded in 1999 by a local Hatton Garden family-run business, we understand the needs of the industry because we are part of the industry. […] Our focus is to create the next generation of jewellers who posses the aptitude and ingenuity to carry the torch and shape the future of the jewellery industry.”
